et confié à Paul Baltes; de même, fondation du Max Planck
Institute für Psycholinguistik à Nimègue, confié
à Willem Levelt. Conférence de Georges Canguilhem sur "Le
cerveau et la pensée", qui résume les objections épistémologiques

Desmond, au nom de la 39ème section de l’American Psychological Association.
En cause : le refus de l’APsaA d’admettre des
psychologues dans ses Instituts, ou à l’Association Psychanalytique Internationale,
et de reconnaître les formations qu’elle ne dispense pas. Un accord sera conclus en 1989.

la National Medal of Science aux Etats-Unis.
La Division 12 de l’Association Psychologique Américaine (Psychologie clinique)
crée une section consacrée aux minorités ethniques. Publication du Déclaration
de Séville sur la violence, qui, sur la base d'arguments invoquant
l'évolution, la génétique, le comportement animal,
les recherches sur le cerveau et la psychologie sociale, s'opposent aux thèses
sociobiologiques qui faisaient du conflit et de la guerre une dimension naturelle
de l'homme. Signé par de grands noms de la psychologie et de la biologie,
notamment Richard Leakey, cette déclaration a déclenché
une violente polémique.
